Have been suffering with a heavy cold, cough and sore throat for days - is there anything at all I can take?

Had this and I feel your pain! You can take paracetamol, I checked this with my GP and I soothed my throat by gargling with TCP- it's disgusting but works!

1 part TCP to 5 parts water

You can take linctus for the cough and use Albas Oil for your sinuses is what the midwife told me. Not brilliant and won't help get rid of it but it'll do a bit for the symptoms.

Paracetamol will help with aches and pains and fever. Try lemon in hot water with honey, it'll feel like lemsip but its full of vitamin c!

Thanks all. I asked the pharmacist in Sainsbury's who said paracetalomol, and lemon and honey so I'll give both a try.
