Bleeding in 2nd Trimester - any experience?

I am after some reassurance for a friend of mine. She is nearly 15 weeks and had a bleed yesterday. It was quite heavy but seems to have slowed right down now.
She went to A&E where they scanned her and assured her that the blood wasn’t coming from the placenta and that the baby was fine etc.
They had to put her on a drip though as her BP had dropped – I think due to the blood loss.

Has anyone had any bleeding at this stage? Just after some experience of it happening to others and it all turning out ok so that I can let her know as she’s obviously very worried

Thanks so much in advance

Hi - I had bleeding at 20 weeks, literally 3 days after my 20 week scan.

The maternity unit checked me over and listened to my babies heartbeats (twins) and confirmed all was ok. They then asked me to wait around for about 6 hours to make sure there was no more and then let me go.

Please tell her not to worry - if the hospital has assured her all is well, I am sure everything will be fine!
