Afternoon lovely ladies,
I have just finished a fantastic book, 'Stand and Deliver: And Other Brilliant Ways to Give Birth' by Emma Mahoney.
I don't know if any of you have read or recommended it before, but I thought it was wonderful and couldn't put it down (literally - have just spent three hours reading it from cover to cover. Highly recommended for anyone who is nervous about labour and birth and wants to read some good, positive birth stories, including breech, water birth, c-section, and home birth.
The writer is normal and sensible with an inclination towards minimal intervention, active birth, and complementary therapies, so if you think this might chime with you, it's well worth reading. It's a paperback and you can get it from Amazon for £6.39.
I'm a bit of a bookworm and so far this is the most easily-digestible, reassuring and useful book about birth I've come across.
Pinchy xx
