How much bedding?

I have moses basket bedding bale which consists of:

2 x fitted sheets
2 x flat sheets
2 x cellular blankets

1 x knitted blanket

I have a pram and will be needing sheets and blankets for that too.....do you think i need the same amount again?
I expect baby will sleep in a vest & sleepsuit, flat sheet with cellour blanket over the top at a room tempreture perfect for baby. Does this sound right? its been ages since my little girl was a baby! For pram - baby in snow suit (cold days) with knitted blanket
How many blankets etc do you have for winter babies?

That sounds about right, i would probably go for 3 fitted sheets though. There were a couple of occasions when we had to do 2 bedding changes a night and i wished i had got another sheet!
And imo, sleeping bags are the way to go!

It all depends on how sicky your baby is. Ours have been very sick after feeds (quite spectacular reflux) and we went through tons... but, i used draw sheets - a small sheet that just tucks over the top sheet, only under the baby's head - that way you don't have to change the whole sheet, but just the little draw sheet - replacing it is easy and you don't even have to move them out the cot or moses basket. I think they are quite old fashioned,... but excellent.

I've been wondering similar so thanks for this thread OP! I was also wondering of we should be getting a mattress protector (towelling or something) for under the sheets in the Moses and on the pram?

Sounds about right I would say you need 4 sheets minimum. Just in case one is in the was and you go through two changes in one night.

My moses basket matress was plastic coated then another removable and washable cover on top, if it is the same which I guess it will be as they all seem to be the cover is very quick drying. So I wouldnt worry about any matress protector - too much faff in the middle of the night too!

I've gone with another fitted sheet, a cellular blanket and a fleece blanket for the pram! :)

I don't bother with the Moses basket stage, but I would get 4-6 sheets for a cot. Dc1 was a very sicky baby and we could easily have to change his sheets several times a night.
