Brown spotting? 11 weeks

Hello :)

I'm pregnant with number one, just hit the 11 week mark today. I had a us two days ago due to some bleeding, and everything was fine and baby was, active, to say the least.

I have had brown spotting for nearly two weeks though. The doctor just said it is old blood, but i am wondering how much old blood exactly? Everytime i think it is stopping, it starts up again.

Has anyone else had this and how long roughly did it last?

I had this too with DC2. I can't remember exactly how long for, but it was several weeks. I used to get nervous when I went to the loo!
My GP's theory was that there was probably a tiny, 'irritated' bit on the cervix.
DS was 8lbs when he was born (at full term).
