Might I be?

I know there have been a few threads like this. I didn't think I would be contributing to them. There really is no need for me to think that I might be, we've only had sex twice in the past four weeks and haven't had any accidents that we know of. But my boobs have been sore for 2 weeks now, which is unusual. I'm due today, but so far no signs of it. I'm having period pains and a light coloured discharge, but no blood as of yet.

Like I say, there is no reason to think that I am, but a niggling thing in my head. Tell me that I'm being silly!

You probably are being silly. I felt like this a couple of months ago and convinced myself that I was preggers, I wasnt! i often get sore boobs about 10 days before af is due and it subsides once ive started.

bitconcerned · 20/03/2006 13:24

Thank you! It's just that I don't normally get sore boobs, so it was noticeable when I did. It set me off worrying!

if in doubt do a test, that's the only way to know for sure.

bitconcerned · 20/03/2006 13:25

And I'm very hungry all the time.
I'll wait and see and hope that my period starts today! I'm like clockwork!

Would you mind being pregnant?

HappyMumof2 · 20/03/2006 16:45

do a test

spinach · 20/03/2006 16:54

do one

bitconcerned · 20/03/2006 18:23

I'm very scared now, I just checked the calendar, I was due yesterday. I don't want to take a test in case I have to see something I don't want to.

If you are pregnant you may as well know and then get on with whatever you want to do. I always find worrying is the worst bit. Hope you get the result you want.

spinach · 20/03/2006 18:27

have you got a test handy?

bitconcerned · 20/03/2006 18:28

i can't think of anything else. But I'll be with people all this week so I don't know if I can get a private moment to do a test. I'm very very scared, petrified.

OP posts:
spinach · 20/03/2006 18:30

you're better off doing the test, then you know where you are with it all. It could be that you're so worked up that the stress has delayed your period and theres nothing to worry about

I can't get hold of one this week, I'm with people.

can you pop to a late night tesco and pick one up, tell people you need to dash out for tampax, use the loo at tesco to do the test?

HappyMumof2 · 20/03/2006 18:37

try not to worry too much. If you've not had un protected sex than it's un likely. There are lots of reasons to miss a period, hormone imbalance, thyroid, pituratry problem, weight loss, stress etc.......

I recently missed 3 and still don't know why!

bitconcerned · 20/03/2006 18:38

ok, I'll try to get a test tomorrow if I don't start in the meantime, thank you!

I'm just very worried about the other symptoms, tender breasts that I don't normally get, the hunger and tiredness. I keep hoping I'll go to the toilet and there will be blood. A pg would be devastating.

OP posts:
HappyMumof2 · 20/03/2006 18:53

do you mind me asking why it would be so bad for you?

bitconcerned · 21/03/2006 21:53

Can't say sorry. The test said neg but still no sign, 4th day late tomorrow and I'm NEVER late. What could it be?

go to docs and have a blood test to put your mind at rest.
