Hope your okay, I would phone your MW for reassurance and her opinion.

I would definitely go and see someone, for no other reason than it helps you create a record of the event. I am a teacher and was pushed in my stomach in the early stages of my pregnancy. The doctor was very reassuring about how safe my baby was but I know I felt better having been checked out. I wouldn't think you need to go in urgently but I would definitely do something, sometimes it is afterwards that the panic really sets in.

So sorry for you that this has happened. Sure all is well but would you feel more reassured to be checked over at your maternity unit?

Also what about work now? Perhaps talk to your manager about the risks you are facing and have the whole situation reviewed. ?contact police for charging with assault ?

If you are rhesus neg then you must be seen. But I'd still get seen if I were you.

I'm sorry this happened. I am also 34 wks and can't think of anything worse right now. Sad

Sad

I'm sure the baby is fine, when I had a very bad fall my stomach sort of went hard to protect it, this is why I was told I had no movements for a while after the impact!

the main thing I'ld say is that its scary for you and terrible that it's happened, I agree with others that going to see someone will back up your incident form and perhaps help your case if you ever request to only see certain people in doubles, and also to reasuure you

In triage just now thanks for the support will update soonSmile

So sorry to hear that, must have been horrible. Do you have regular risk assessments at work? You certainly should after this incident.
Hope everything turns out ok.

happy to hear all seems well and you've been reassured! your OH is right you don't need that for another week, enjoy your leave x

Shock

Hope you're feeling ok, am sure the baby is 100% fine but you're probably very shaken up! I'm glad you don't have to go back to work, enjoy the rest of your maternity leave and put your feet up for the extra couple of days you have.

omfgkillmenow · 21/09/2012 01:38

glad to hear you are ok make sure incident report is filed, maybe client needs reassessed about level of support. Certainly someone who punches out should have 2:1 at least, and perhaps in future your company would consider matching support needs to available staff more carefully.

Second this, my SIL works in the same sort of job and has said this to me before now when describing incidents at work.

Hope everything goes ok with the rest of your pregnancy x (I did think the worst when i read this and was getting ready to say 'leave the bastard, lol)
