Alfie, Tom, Charlie are my order of preference. Tom is nice but there are soooo many of them!

milward · 20/03/2006 12:18

Alfie is my favourite here

SPARKLER1 · 20/03/2006 12:20

Dh and I didn't like any boy's names - luckily we had two girls!!
From your list - I think Charlie. Smile

SoupDragon · 20/03/2006 12:21

Thomas William works better than just Tom.

I like Charlie too but don't like Alfie.

JoolsToo · 20/03/2006 12:22

sarahhal · 20/03/2006 12:25

Tom as that's DS2!! And DS1 is William so good names there Mandymoo! I loved Charlie too and Alfie but DH wasn't keen.

MamaMaiasaura · 20/03/2006 12:25

Alfie, Tom then Charlie. Can you not have one as a middle? My son has 2 middle names - william being one and also one of your name choices as first :)

Tom - means a twin

Alfie - comes from alfred meaning a consellor

Charlie - means manly, full grown.

singersgirl · 20/03/2006 12:31

We know lots of all 3 but my personal preference is Tom. However that is probably the most commonly used - DS2 has 3 friends called Tom. Lots of Charlies and Alfies around too.

Charlie my least favourite.

cece · 20/03/2006 12:32

Tom

fimbo · 20/03/2006 12:36

Tom - I know someone who is spells Tom as Thom

JonesTheSteam · 20/03/2006 12:40

I prefer Tom / Thomas.

Would have liked it ourselves for DS but he would have been Tom Jones (not a good idea in S. Wales Grin Wink)

muma3 · 20/03/2006 12:42

GDG · 20/03/2006 12:42

mandymoo just a word of caution.
I have a friend with a ds called Thomas and there are five in his class.
Just in case that sort of thing bothers you.
I like Alfie best of those 3, FWIW.

littlerach · 20/03/2006 13:02
