lately i been feeling out of breath, today however i feel really really out of breath and cant get enough oxygen in me.

coincedentally i just had a letter through the door to tell me that the bloods they took show i have low haemoglobin level and may need iron tablets. the result is hb10.5

is this the reason i feel out of breath?

Possibly, your hb is looking at red cells and o2 carrying potential, do you feel more than normally tired as well? I was breathless from about 3 months onwards.... something initially to do with muscles relaxing around the diaghram (is it spelt like that) and later on because i was carrying so high. it got so bad that i could'nt get up stairs with out being breathless. two after ds was born it actually felt worse but did eventually ease off after a few days.

i had shortness of breath at 15 weeks and went to the doctors. She sent me to the hos to have a ecg and to be checked out.Apparently you can have a clot that can travel to your lungs as your blood is thicker when you are preg but thatk god i was fine so i suggest you get it checked out. Mine was that i had asthma as a child and with the pressure of preg it was making me short of breath.

Hi, I am 11 weeks pregnant and have felt tight chested since about 8 weeks, I thought it was a bit early and assumed it was everything moving upwards. I am also unusually tired. I am a little worried now, so will speak to the midwife tomorrow. brian2 - did they give you anything to help?
