When do I need to think about ordering a pushchair?

Ok, might be getting carried away as am only 12+1...

But I keep reading that there are long waiting lists for some of the main pushchair brands that I'm looking (icandy, bugaboo). How long is long? Are we talking months and months?

Ideally I would like to wait until 20 week scan to order anything big like this because I am scared to jinx anything, but do I then risk running out of time?

If your buggy is late just make sure you have a sling. Tbh I barely used my buggy for he first 2 months, but then I barely left the house for 6 weeks other than a walk up the street with sling (difficult baby!).
I wouldn't order yet just for the guarantee running out earlier as mentioned above.

We ordered our Babystyle Oyster and it was already in stock at Winstanleys Pramworld, as were most of the prams we considered there. Only thing we had to wait for was the footmuff.

(Uppababy Vista was our first choice too but it didn't fit in the boot of my Fiesta.)
