Is it the baby dancing on your bladder? This gives me a funny tingling sensation like I really need the loo, but it doesn't usually last very long....

spandau - how far along are you? I had bladder pressure when the baby first went head down in the early 2nd trimester and now, in the late 3rd. It feels just like cystitis or something - hurts when I walk. It's baby's head pressing on my bladder. I know that as I've given urine thinking it must be a UTI but always negative. I feel like I need to pee all the time at night, and wake up every hour and a half to just a teaspoonful! I hope yours is just something similar. It's not nice but it's probably just baby and not anything sinister!

spandau - my ante-natal teacher also mentioned a feeling like 'mild electric shocks' to the fanjo associated with baby-head pressure. Hope it's nothing more than that. Do you have a midwife you could ask?

Aspiemum2 · 19/09/2012 22:03

Is it kind of like a pulsing down below? I had that with the twins and it was bloody annoying! Thankfully only lasted a couple of weeks

spandau1980 · 20/09/2012 16:52

Yea it is like pulsing its annoying...
Isn't it bit early for head pressure tho? Baby so active!!

Thrush? I had weird discomfort but not like normal thrush, more like what you're describing. I put canesten cream on for a few days and it went. I'm only 10 wks though, so not the same weight.

philbee · 20/09/2012 18:33

Weight of baby I mean, not comparing our weights Blush

AmayaBuzzbee · 20/09/2012 22:02

If it is a pulsing feeling, it's probably your baby having hiccups :-)

I had that -usually at night time or when resting. It used to drive me mental!

Bladder infection they think on antibiotics hate them but suppose best to take :(
