39 weeks and feeling fluey

So I feel utterly shite - along with the normal aches and strains of late pregnancy, last week for 2 days I felt almost fluey with muscle pain around my whole body including wrists and ankles. Mentioned it to midwife who said I must have picked up a lurgy.

Now again this week since Monday, the same flu-type aches all over my body including my eyes. Is it hormonal or have I got something? No fever so not sure what GP could really do in terms of checking me out. Baby moving fine. Feel too low in energy to go into labour right now!

Hiya,

I'm 37 weeks and feel like this too but I'm sure the wrist and ankle stuff could be carpel tunnel related, so you may have as well? My fingers are so achey, I can't grip stuff but I also feel a bit fluey, so sympathise.

Supposed to be out for lunch with work colleagues today but not sure I can face but also can't face daytime TV any more!

I'm 40+1 and a right cold has kicked in today. Luckily nothing more than feeling bunged up and snotty, but still not nice. Hmpf!

I'm 39+3 and been aching for about a week. Little bit more than normal pregnancy aches, the joints in my hands are particularly bad. Also woken up today with a stinking cold :( Not impressed. Had lots of bouts of contractions during the night so wondering if I'm just very tired.

A friends was told by a mw she couldn't be near labour as she looked far too well, maybe feeling rough is another step towards the LO arriving. Although it could just be a stupid cold going round. Either way it's annoying.

I wondered that sparkle maybe we're all on our way!

I really feel for people with arthritis in their hands, when I get up in the morning I can't even tie my hair up at the moment.

Another one with the aching fingers and ankles - mentioned it at my last MW appointment and she said carpal tunnel syndrome (I was worried about pre-eclampsia after a comment from a work colleague that that was the cause of her fingers swelling).

I struggled to pull the light switch in my bathroom this morning. Had to use both hands. I'm with you spice, really feel for people with arthritis, at least I know this will be gone in the next few weeks.

Fingers crossed for us all to get things moving. I'm stuck in between wanting to meet baby, being a little worried about pain in labour and not really wanting to go through it all while feeling this rough.

Annoying as I've had tons of energy recently.

How we all feeling now? I'm still full of cold, but think its on the way out now - the snots gone green. :)

Luckily my colds dont seem to wipe me out, so i still managed a walk and a swim and planning another walk today.
