Morning sickness while pregnant with DC2

I'm 6wks PG with DC 2. I had no morning sickness at all with DS. My mum, granny & great-granny never had morning sickness either. There's supposed to be a genetic link between sickness and pregnancy. My obstetrician told me I'd never have morning sickness. Now I feel nauseous the whole time. Has anyone else had this?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I don't think there is any science to it or genetic link to it! I dont think your obstetician is right either! What a crazy statement to make!

Every pregnancy is different. Hope it doesnt develop too much for you and congratulations!

Thanks for replying gingerbreadlatte. Your name has just given me a major gingerbreadlatte craving - it would probably help with the morning sickness wouldn't it?

I haven't heard of that!

Pg with ds no morning sickness, this pg I was so sick and had awful migranes :( thankfully at 14w they have now passed Smile

My mum didn't have it - I had it horribly from 6-20 weeks. I'm now 23 weeks and it seems to be coming back!

Sounds like your OB was talking rubbish!

Neither my mum nor my sister had morning sickness and I've had it really badly twice. I know friends who've had none with two pregnancies and then been really sick for a third.

There seems to be no obvious rhyme or reason about what makes you have it, you either just do or don't...

I hope yours passes soon. Mine went at around 18 weeks this last time...

It does sound like my OB was talking crap. Different one this time so I'll see what they say.
