I am 32 weeks tomorrow. A week past Thursday I slipped quite badly at work, I don't really remember what happened but as I fell to the ground I apparently turned myself so I feel on my knee and then my hip. I was checked out by the doctor and she was happy that no harm was done. The next day I started getting shooting pains in my left buttock but not all the time. About a week later they were gone. Then on Sunday I was cleaning in the kitchen, I don't know what I did but ever since I stood up the bottom of my spine has been really sore/uncomfortable/painful. Sharp shooting pains that hinder how I walk and make it really sore to put weight on my left leg. According to the midwife this is normal????????????????????? Is it normal? If it is how long does it last? I feel and walk like a geriatric and I still have two months to go.

Can't answer you question (sorry!) but just wanted to say I'm 34 weeks and also get bad pain on my left handside back. Spoke to Mw today who gave me no fir obs physio and she told me to call them. Perhaps ask your Mw for this? I found them really good in my 1st pregnancy when I trapped a nerve.

Also I find Paracetimal and not doing too much eases it (tricky with a 2 yr old to look after!)

Thanks HelloBear, as long as I come home and do nothing I seem to be fine. Everyone seems to think it is my sciatic nerve? Really annoying whatever it is! I hope you take it easy too.
