Hi all. Am 36 weeks PG with first baby. For the first 30 weeks I went right off tea and coffee (very strange as I would have at least 5 cups of tea/coffee a day prior to pg). Now am starting to crave them again and tea in Particular. Online it says up to 200 mg caffeine is ok but not clear what this equates to. What is everyone else drinking?

I went off tea for the first few months too and was on green tea with lemon, but have been back on the proper stuff and the occasional coke for a while now.

I asked the midwife about it early on (as I knew there was caffeine in green tea but wasn't sure how much), and she basically said that the amount of caffeine in a normal cup of tea was so tiny compared to the amount of water, that it probably wasn't possible to drink too many cups of it. She said that the advice on caffeine is only really for people drinking buckets of coke or starbucks every day, or having espressos and the like. So I haven't worried about it too much, and am now almost 39 weeks and in very good health!
