Trapped nerve in leg - is there actually anything you can do?

I'm 24 weeks and I keep getting a sensation in one of my legs, like the nerve is trapped, and it feels like it's going to stop working/a bit out of control iykwim? Like I have to get it back into the right place before my leg stops working or falls off or something.

I think it might be sciatica. I'm just wondering - is there anything I can actually do about it or is it just, wait another 16 weeks?

Also the same leg gets really, really severe cramp if I kneel or sit on the floor for a while - yesterday it was agonising.

Hoping someone might have suggestions, or solutions - or just moan along with me Smile

Thankyou

Is it the back or front of your leg? I had numbness which over time became burning and pain down the front of both thighs. I was diagnosed with meralgia parasthetica and was told by my GP there was little that could be done & it would probably go post birth.

However my MW suggested I try physio & that either fixed me or was a huge coincidence as after a couple of weeks of doing the prescribed exercises it is 95% better. My hips & sacrum were out of line apparently - no idea if that was the cause if the trapped nerves but realigning them seemed to help.

Similarly my friend had numbness & pain down the back of her legs and was diagnosed with sciatica.

Oh thankyou so much for answering.

It seems to be at the front at the moment, but it's a bit of both. It's not numb - just that when I am sitting for a while, like now at the desk, and then I lean forward or get up, I get a shooting pain down the leg
.
I'm finding it very uncomfortable to walk, as well, only walked down to town/school and back today and everything was aching so so much. Hips and bump and so on - I feel like my legs have been stuck on like when a child makes a plasticine person, they feel like they stick out in different directions and I am hobbling from side to side like they don't quite reach the ground!

I'm seeing the MW next week so will ask about possible physio - thankyou for giving me hope.
