sore guts and piles - pregnancy or something else?

I'm now 38 weeks but have been very aware of my guts the whole way through this pg. It's kind of like I know what's in them and whereabouts it's got to.

Last night I had a bm and there was quite a lot of blood on the toilet paper and then I looked around and the bowl was red. Urgh. No pain, but I have had a general feeling of discomfort in my colon for a few days, and it has been very full of audible wind. I've not had problems straining for bm's - they have been daily and seemingly easy to pass despite their voluminous 3rd trimester size. I'm on iron if that makes any difference to anything.

I've also noticed I'm feeling queasy in the gut through the mornings. I'm wondering if I'm not getting on with Weetabix or something? I have 3 every morning. Is this just pg or might I have gut ishoos so need to see a gp? I'm loathed to bother them with pg stuff that will sort itself in a few weeks anyway.

No experience of this as such but for what it's worth I think ANY back passage blood should be checked out by a doctor ASAP. Better safe than sorry as they say

I think you should go to the dr too, because of the blood, they wont mind at all and you want to get it sorted before you give birth.

Saying that, I am in pain today with what I think is an internal pile, no bleeding but Ive got a lump near my bum (sorry tmi), and it is aching, ive got some cream thoguh and will go to dr tomorrow if its still hurting.

Im 41+1 so I am a bit worried about it popping or something awful when im pushing.

I am trying to drink plenty of water and eat more fruit.

Have just phoned mw and she's put me on the gp triage list, so should get to clear things with them.

I am just Hmm and Shock at the amount of wind I've got just now too!

Saw gp and it's just a popped pile, nothing we can do about it. However she did want me tested for inflammatory bowel markers once I've delivered given my sore guts and gurgling.

Has anyone any experience of what IBD feels like during pregnancy? I've felt really 'full' today and at times have had BH that felt like they've got stuck on permanently. And if baby presses on a sore bit it's REALLY sore. All very uncomfortable.
