Montgomery tubercles

Im on holiday at the moment and approx 6 weeks pregnant. When changing earlier I noticed little white bumps (almost like little spots) on the area around my nipple. I had a look online and can see they're likely Montgomery tubercles. Is it normal to have this so early in pregnancy? Most of the things I read seem to say they're common in later pregnancy when your breasts are getting ready to make milk.

Apologies of this has been asked before. Am navigating Mumsnet on my phone and the search engine is tough lol.

These are usually my 1st pregnancy symptom, even before a missed period. I'd say it was quite normal to have them at your stage.

Re-animating thread.

I noticed these about 1-2 weeks before I did a preg test, which is why I tested so quickly really, the day after my missed AF, because I've had these before when pregnant.

However, the last two times they didn't appear until much later in the pregnancy, so I'm wondering if I'm further along than I know.
I didn't know I was pregnant until I was 17 weeks along with my second child.

Does anyone else remember how far along they were before these developed? Google suggests they're job is to moisturise ready for breastfeeding, but if they appear as an early pregnancy symptom, then perhaps it's just a test run at that stage to check everything's working.

What are your views?

Although my AF has been regular as clockwork this last year at the very least, I've fallen preg on contraption so I'm curious until my first midwife appt to know if these indicate a more developed pregnancy.
