I am 29 weeks pregnant today, and I am starting to find it a real effort to reach my feet to put my socks on in the morning!

When did you start to find your bump was getting in the way of simple daily tasks?? And those of you who've done this before, how much worse will it get?!

Tell me the worst!! i have a small concern that I am going to start finding it hard to wipe my own arse!!

I am kinda worrying about how massive/unwieldy I will be by the end, with 11 weeks to go Shock

I'm 33 weeks and beginning to struggle now. Hold ups instead of tights and when putting shoes and socks on, I put one foot over the other knee and do them that way. Saves trying to bend down over my massive bump and wear slip on shoes where possible.

It does get very bulky towards the end. On the plus side, the simple things become so awkward that you get to the stage that giving birth actually appeals!!! How are you feeling otherwise? Excited? Organised? :)

I don't remember when it happened but I found sitting with my legs wide apart and leaning down in-between them the easiest way of putting them on (while leaning against the other leg)!

Don't worry it doesn't get that bad! The thing that annoys me most is I keep forgetting how wide I am and catching my bump on the sharp sticky out bits on door handles!

Glad it's not just me! Thanks for the tips :)

Other than feeling increasingly whale-like, I am feeling very excited about meeting DS (we found out the sex at 20 weeks). Have bought a few bits (clothes, muslins) and have been given a sack of stuff by SIL....but other than that feeling worryingly underprepared!

LittleBlackDress have you/when did you start buying cribs/cots/buggies etc? Feel in a kind of weird limbo at the moment...it feels a bit early still to start putting up a cot, but also am aware that it's not really that long at all!

The early 30s I think, so I've basically given up wearing shoes with laces and try & only wear slip on shoes/ sandals / boots.

Only today I couldn't get one of my boots off & had to enlist DH's help (37 weeks now).

Pelvis hurts too much on the left hand side to do the leg over knee trick sadly, as that is definitely the best way.

I've started to find this difficult at 28 weeks Blush and like you am worried about what it's going to be like as I get bigger! I have found it's easier to put them on standing up or perching somewhere fairly high, rather than in a low chair. Sounds counter intuitive but I think it's because it squashes the bump less.

I've been wearing velcro shoes for ages and find they're ok - haven't been able to buckle shoes up since 25w because of pelvis pain though!

Put your foot on a step or chair if you can.

I'm also 29 weeks today, started to notice bump getting in the way about a week ago. So I've bought some sli on ankle boots instead of my shoes with laces.
