Just that really? I could not get a straight answer out of anyone when I had scan and blood tests on Monday - who do I get the results from and by what means!? No one seemed to know. I'm sure it will differ from area to area but would be good to have an idea......thanks

Hi where i am from if there is a problem they will contact you within a week, usually by phone, if not you get a letter in the post which took about 6 weeks. The midwife then discussed them with me at my clinic appointment after my 20 week scan. I hope this helps at all if you are unsure try ringing your communtiy midwife she might have a straight answer for you.

I've not had any back 4 weeks later. Assuming they'd contact me if there was a problem but it's all pretty basic tests at that stage.

Do you mean the bloods for your combined test or booking bloods?
Here booking bloods are discussed at next mw appointment unless there's a problem in which case you get a phone call within a few days.
For the combined test you get a phone call within 3 working days if your combined risk is more than 1in 150, otherwise you get a letter quoting risk within about 1 week to 10 days.
If you're worried you could always ring your mw and ask what happens in your area.
Best wishes

I got my scan results there and then at the scan. I then got the blood results just sent to me in the post couple of weeks later without any explanation of what they mean etc. I would presume that they would ring you if they thought there are problems but I think it is really easy to slip through the system, as then it would be 16 weeks by the time you see your midwife again to discuss the blood results.

Rang my GP and asked receptionist and she looked and told me they were normal. Took me a while to realise they weren't going to tell me automatically.

thanks for your thoughts everyone, think I'll call this week to try to get results over phone. Ginger hope everything is ok.

I got nothing. After about 5 weeks I rang my surgery and they said that they'd received nothing. I was a bit worried about my iron levels so my GP chased them (all normal). I still haven't had a letter or anything from the hospital.

I live in somerset, I received my scan and blood test results through the post about a week and a half after I had the tests :)

I'm in Scotland and got a letter in the post about 2 weeks later. If it had been something to worry about, they told me they'd phone within the week.
