Pregnancy after 2 Lletz

After finding precancerous cells I had the Lletz procedure and fell pregnant straight after. The pregnancy was fine but my boy arrived 4 weeks early. After 3 years of 6 months checks they have now suggested I have the Lletz again but have warned me that this could cause early labour if I was to become pregnant again. I'm worried now as was hoping to try for a second child next year but dont want to put an unborn child at risk. I don't know what to do.

Sorry I do not know anything about Lletz but if it was me I would have to understand exactly how necessary it was I guess and how long you could safely wait without the procedure. Then maybe start trying for a baby now and not next year, if this is the case and have it done after birth? On the other hand, I understand that it is not set in stone that you would have an early labour. You just don't know and lots of people seem to go into early labour without this procedure and it can happen to anyone. So in a way there is no need to panic about it at this stage and take it as a given. I think you have to put your own health first at this stage, as you already have one child and the other one is still hypothetical and decide on this basis xx

In very similar position but awaiting my 2nd procedure for CIN2, I'm delaying this until we've completed our family (I will have it if it becomes more serious but am just being monitored). At my hospital, they said if I have it done a second time they would scan me at 16 weeks to check cervix, if it appears weakened, the baby will be 'stitched in' to prevent early delivery.ask your hospital about this, mine are super informative&helpful. Good luck.
