Just needing some mumsnet reassurance. On hols, and toddler ds (19months), caught me accidentally with his foot when swimming. It was only sore on impact, no bruising, bleeding and baby moving fine.

Midwife has previously said not to worry when I've mentioned him kicking my stomach before (experiencing the terrible 2's early), as baby is well protected, but just need to see it in black and white!

I'm 25 weeks, this is dc2, and have an anterior placenta.

I went through the same sort of thing last weekend. Ds is 5 yrs old and we were playing around tickling one another when he suddenly kicked me on the bottom of bump. I'm 37 weeks. There was no bleeding, bruising and the baby was moving plenty straight afterwards. I phoned the maternity unit straight away to seek advice. I am rheseus negative so I was told I had to go up and get an anti-d injection incase there was perhaps a small bleed inside. The midwife told me that the only reason I had to go up to hospital was purely because of my blood type. She said the baby is so well protected in there and they would be fine. Hope this helps. X
