Me again, do you count the weeks you are pregnant from the week you conceived or as the Doctor confirms it from the date of your last period? As I am not sure if I am 5 weeks or 7 weeks. 5 since conception and 7 from telling the doctor? Answers most appreciated so I can track my progress accordingly.

As mad as it seems you use the date from your last period... So if that was 7 weeks ago you're 7 weeks pregnant... At least it speeds it up a bit Grin

They use the 1st day of your last period to date the pregnancy as it's very tricky to pin down the definite day that ovulation and conception occurred whereas most of us know which day we came on.

supposed to be the first day of your last period but depends how many days are in your cycle average for most is 28 days but i have 35 so have to count 7 days after the first day of my lmp very confusing

Yes, I am a late ovulator, so to me I am 14 +4 (lmp), on U/S 12+5, so although they use LMP a lot of people get moved on scan. Go on LMP until they date you :o)
