Show yesterday, waters went last night (luckily as I arrived in the bathroom so on a tiled floor!). Clear and plenty of them! Now leaking fluid which I guess is normal, and having contractions on average every 30min. Eeek, we haven't finally decided on a name yet!!!!

One question though - is the leaky fluid allowed a tinge of pink? Or is that something to worry about?

I so wish I still had my mum right now. Everyone who has theirs with them (even on the phone to talk to) for at least their first born is SO lucky!!!

Tinge of pink is fine.

Good luck! :)

imustbepatient · 13/09/2012 06:53

Good luck!

GoldPlatedNineDoors · 13/09/2012 06:54

Good luck!!

Thanks :). DH has gone to work - will call him when things get more regular as they're very short staffed and he really needs to be there. Feels weird knowing baby's on his way at last!

Ooooo good luck! Not long now until you get to hold your little one in your arms Smile

GobblersKnob · 13/09/2012 07:14

Good luck, have you yet your unit know? When I had mine (a while ago now) my waters broke at home both times and at the time you had to let your midwife know asap, things might have changed now though.

Hope at all goes swiftly Smile

I'm gonna phone the hospital at nine-ish to say my waters broke last night. My midwife's on holiday so they're my best bet I think. Wish things would hurry up, still only a couple of contractions an hour....!

Good luckGrin today seems like a good day, loads of babies making appearances!!! (hopeful that my bubs feels like it time today too!!!)

aamia · 13/09/2012 09:35

Got to go in at 4pm and have stuff checked if contractions haven't ramped up by then. And then if he's not here by the morning a drip to speed things up. At least he's on his way I guess!

Good luck! Hope i get to join in soon.

torbay73 · 13/09/2012 10:00

Good Luck. Not long for me now and agree its hard without your mum. I had mine for my previous births but sadly not this time. x

whenhenshaveteeth · 13/09/2012 10:06

Good luck!!

It'll be me in a few days/weeks.... eeek!

I sympathise with you aamia, I don't have my mum or MIL either. But you can do it and you're going to be the mum now so concentrate on the future with your own little family x

aamia · 13/09/2012 11:12

Contractions stopped. Grr! Playing wii sports to try to keep moving and get them going again. At least it's keeping me entertained!

Ha ha, think I'm having the weirdest early labour ever! There seem to be contractions that I can feel as tightenings, then there's a gush of amniotic fluid, but they don't hurt! Been playing Wii with DH for a few hours - lots of fun anyway!

Hope you're getting on ok at the hospital!

sammyleh · 13/09/2012 16:46

Good luck aamia I also don't have my mum with me anymore and this is my first baby... really going to miss her support when D-day comes in about 5 weeks! xx

GobblersKnob · 14/09/2012 06:42

How it going aamia? Hope you are well on your way by now Smile

OctoberOctober · 14/09/2012 07:34

Hope you had a good night, any new arrival?

PeahenTailFeathers · 14/09/2012 07:41

Good luck, aamia. Your labour sounds similar to the way mine started. Hope you're snuggling your new baby by now Grin.

Badgerina · 14/09/2012 10:13

aamia hope things picked up for Smile My labour with DS1 started like yours. I just pottered around all day, went to Sainsburys, walked around the park, by the river etc and had a nap in the afternoon. Contractions picked up at night and he was born the the following afternoon Grin

Hope you're either well on your way, or holding your baby Smile

whenhenshaveteeth · 14/09/2012 13:00

Good luck aamia, hope you're holding your baby now.

I have a feeling I won't be too far off... I'm 37 + 6 and my bump feels very hard today. I had a lot of tightenings down there last night and some back pain this morning. Not really sure what to look out for as I was induced last time.

I supposed it's probably not it yet but it feels like my body is up to something...
