hi, Don't worry, I bought the same thing 'summer infant' one, and I never heard a heart beat in all the times I tried. Found it to be useless, They make it sound really good, but I wonder if anyone has had sucess with them.
Please don't fret about it, I did at first then realised it wasn't the baby the product just didn't work.

same here! couldn't find a heartbeat. Take it back and get your money back and get a proper doppler- there much more fun.
do an ebay search for angelsounds - these are cheapo dopplers which work very well- i have one:)

Hi

I've got the same Summer infant listening device and I've only just started to hear a very faint heartbeat, and I'm 26 weeks. Is really hard to hear and nothing like the doppler...and sometimes i cant hear it at all. seems a bit hit and miss i think Smile

I've read the small print with these things and they say it's not to listen to the heartbeat (although you may pick it up) but to listen to other sounds like hiccups and movements etc.

I was going to get one because of the price but the reason I wanted it was to listen to the heartbeat.
