I am 10 weeks with my 3rd baby and can't remember when you first hear babies heartbeat, my first appointment is due when I am approx 11.4 weeks, will that be too early?

I'm almost positive that I heard it at my first appt. which was about 11 weeks.

Sometimes you get lucky, and a midwife can find a heartbeat pretty early, but it can take some time, and I think a lot of MWs avoid trying till 14-16 weeks so as not to cause undue alarm.

my midwife did not try until 18 weeks! but my home doppler picked up a heartbeat at an amazing 9+3 weeks:)

I am seeing the midwife tomorrow and I am 10+3, so hopefully she will try, slinkstah - where did you buy the home doppler and how much did it cost you?

I was told they don't even try to find one before 14 weeks here but I ended up having the midwife out when I was 10 weeks just and she picked a good strong heartbeat up.
