Radishes! Lots and lots of radishes.

Their crispy crunchiness, refreshing juicy flavour and gentle hot after-kick on the tongue have me coming back for more constantly. I think the home-shopper pickers in my asda must think I am weird as I buy enough for the whole street.

I am also having a small affair with rice-crispies but not in comparison to radishes.

Come and tell me your 'can't-get-enough-of's' and why ya love'em. Grin

I'm obsessed with lemon ice lollies.

WhereAreMyShoes · 14/09/2012 21:39

Fumes!
Fuel station and car fumes are rather appealing at the minute.
Perfumes or body sprays (especially DP's)
The smell of the hoover air. Confused

I also really like the taste of the water when cleaning my teeth.

I'm not that fussed about food. Maybe because there's just no room for it anymore (two days overdue!)

theTramp · 14/09/2012 22:09

Potato. All I seem to want to eat and all I seem to be able to eat is potato. I've always been a mash and jacket fan, but chips and boiled nah. Anything, anything with potato at all. Including potato waffles, which aren't versatile but are great with cheese melted on top and a side squidge of ketchup. And very briefly peanut butter, which I had to eat at least 3 times a day or I would die.

Why couldn't it be salad? Why why why mother nature?!

Nibblonian · 14/09/2012 23:00

Beef, beef and more beef. I didn't really eat much meat before becoming pregnant.

Anything salty and fatty pleases me greatly at the moment!

Ellypoo · 15/09/2012 07:51

Fizzy water for me - and I have completely gone off my prepregnancy liquid staple of diet coke!!

whatsinthebagangelos · 15/09/2012 09:00

Jelly, yoghurts, custard, anything cold from the fridge...

theTramp · 15/09/2012 09:35

Elly - I find fizzy water makes me belch like a navvy. Are you immune to this side effect? I'm so jealous if you are. It makes not drinking so much easier!

JennerOSity · 15/09/2012 11:07

It seems cold, crunchy, fizzy and sugary are recurring topics!

I had to google Tropical jubblies! Never heard of those - but they look lovely and now I want one. Grin

Thetramp - thankfully not, although I'm not sure if it would put me off that much if it did anyway!!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 15/09/2012 14:00

Tomatoes, especially the overpriced super sweet baby tomatoes you get from M&S. Tomato juice to...... Mmmmmmmmm

That and really dirty food like monster munch, laughing cow cheese, super noodles etc

bumponboardagain · 15/09/2012 14:16

Chicken
Peanut butter
Had a real thing for nectarines in august!
Chocolate
Lemonade
Milk
Ice
Carbs (toast, chips, bread, baked potatoes, cereal)

And my most recent one is bagels filled with full fat phili and smoked salmon

PollyIndia · 15/09/2012 14:20

I've had no weird cravings per se, but I can't get enough sugar, chocolate and cake. Luckily the rest of my diet is good, but I have had chocolate or cake pretty much every day.

I think maybe i am the same as you iwishiwasalittlebitfitter - pregnancy is just an excuse!

PollyIndia · 15/09/2012 17:00

Actually, the other craving I have had has been for dandelion and burdock and cherry coke. And I never normally have fizzy sugary drinks

LittlePea14 · 16/09/2012 18:30

Milk. Oh and Cheese and Onion Seabrooks. I'm 17wks and had savoury cravings since the beginning. Really odd as I've normally got a sweet tooth but I've completely gone off chocolate and cake.

Has anyone found a difference between sweet/savoury for a boy/girl?? x

JennerOSity · 16/09/2012 19:09

I was really into savoury for first dc who turned out to be boy... currently more sweet toothed than usual but don't know which it is yet! Not much help am I!

My current obsession is tinned peaches and jelly. Twice this weekend I have made jellies as the start of a trifle and twice I have failed to get past the jelly stage ( due to eating the whole thing as soon as set)Blush

wannabedomesticgoddess · 16/09/2012 23:19

Vegetables. Always liked them, but now I must have them. Especially sweetcorn.

Im eating a lot more meat too but I have gone off mince.

I go through sugary phases. And lemon phases too.

Nothing really odd though!

JennerOSity · 17/09/2012 11:30

Terrywoganstrousers I am picturing the intended recipient of your trifle living in futile hope for some time yet! Grin

When I was pregnant with my first I had a terrible craving for cleaning products/washing powder. Obviously I didn't eat it but I did discover chocolate limes worked well. I actually remember running out of chocolate limes one Sunday and there were no shops open. I was not a happy bunny!
No cravings as of yet though- although I am only 6 weeks so there is still time!!

terrywoganstrousers · 17/09/2012 14:38

Jenner- I think I may just give up and make endless jellies. It was only for the family anyway so they will have to put up with jelly. And I CBA making gluten free trifle sponges anyway so it would be a poor trifle in any case Grin DD was put out though as I did make some jelly up into some little tubs for her to take to school and in fact I got up at 3am and ate them all Blush

photochick · 17/09/2012 15:38

Am scoffing cheese / bread / crisps none of which I was particularly bothered about before. Don't seem to want anything sweet.
A few weeks ago i had to have chocolate milk but gone off that again now. Off hot drinks and cold fizzy water is definitely a winner.
