confused, pregnancy or miscarriage finishing?

I had a m/c 4 weeks ago, I bled alot 2 weeks before they confirmed the miscarriage. I took a pregnancy test a week after they confirmed it and it was very faint .. i started bleeding about over a week ago for 4/5 days then stopped bled yesterday and the day before but it was light. Been getting pains so went to epu today they took my hormone level it was 17, they said I have to come back in a week to have it done again because its not to be above 10.

They said it could be my miscarriage ending our the start of a new pregnancy... we have had unprotected sex everyday but we haven't set our mind on trying. Just don't think i could be pregnant if I've been bleeding.

Experiences please confused!!!

I'm no expert on these things, I've had 2 miscarriages myself though, and from what I understand, the hormone levels can take some time to get out of your body, and so you could get a positive test for a while after a miscarriage. Did you have any treatment for you miscarriage? It sounds to me as if your recent bleed was your period returning? But the body can play tricks on us, so sadly its going to be a waiting game until you can get things confirmed.
