Have no idea where to post this so thought this was as good as any!
Does anyone know if you can get your scan photos from the hospital years later?
I'm asking as I've stupidly lost my 5 months scan photos of my now 5 and 21 month old children, I was doing my keepsake box for my newborn and just discovered this so will the hospital give me any more with it being so long ago?

I doubt the hospital keep a copy of the photo - they probably just keep the info about the measurements and such like.

In my experience, no. I had a scan and the sonographer said he couldn't get a clear picture for us and showed us a few on screen. However, we still wanted one but there were none for us to have and that was just a few minutes after the scan :(

Think it depends on your hospital, my hospital must keep some as due to an issue last week mine were reviewed by the superintendent of sonography, that was less than 24 hours after the scan was done though, i doubt they keep them for years

Only medical images are stored on pacs where I work-images of spine etc, not 'pictures' as such. We give out a care sheet advising how to look after the pics and tell them that we do not store or keep spare pics of baby.
