I'm 10 wks and have started getting awful headaches again. Was getting them at the beginning but they eased off for a while and now they're back with a vengeance!

Paracetamol takes the edge off but does anyone have and tips for getting rid of them please?

I suffered really badly with headaches in the first trimester, all i could do is take paracetamol and drink plenty of water. Also at home just lay in the dark with a flannel over my head (like a child)
I remember speaking to my midwife about them and all i got was 'if you can carry on with your day they can't be that bad'...Not very helpful!
Mine did ease off though so hopefully yours will too! x

I completely sympathise as I suffered with them big time! The only things that really worked for me were drinking lots and lots of water, sometimes a fizzy drink would help a bit but keeping fluids topped up helped. Also if you can, rest... try and sleep it off, eat regularly too. I avoided paracetamol because they never seemed to work and that just annoyed me and stressed me out even more and made my headaches worse. Rest assured they do tend to go away but don't be afraid to speak to your doctor if you find they're becoming too much. I went to see mine and he was lovely and reassuring.

Sympathies, I have a huge one right now, I think you can take cocodamol after 12 weeks? I have taken 2 paracetamol (was trying not to) and have a migraleve cool thingy on my head, helping a touch.

I had the same thing, I think the only things you really can do are drink lots of water, take paracetamol and lie down in the dark and try to sleep it off. I am now 15+4 and they have gone cmpletely though so they don't last forever!

Thanks all! Been drinking loads this afternoon which has helped lots. Thought I was drinking enough before but obviously not. Going to the loo every ten minutes it seems but it's worth it to stop the pain...

According to dh I had these headaches during the first trimester last time but I can't remember. Funny how you forget so much!
