I've just had a first meeting with potential doula. As she left I started getting stabbing pains in my cervix. When wiping, saw a small amount of bright red spotting. I've called the ooh doc and am waiting for a call back, could do with a bit of hand holding please.

Hoping this is just my cervix feeling a little sensitive because I've been discussing my first birth in graphic detail all evening. Hmm

Been told to rest and see GP in morning if it continues/go to A&E if it gets worse.

I've had some bleeds so I know just how frightening this is. I'm crossing my fingers for you. If you are worried go to EPU for a scan - pain and a bleed should be sufficient reason for them to see you.

GreyTS · 10/09/2012 21:54

Sorry you are going through this, it's so stressful. If it makes you feel any better I had bad bleeds and pain at 8 wks with DD1 and 15 weeks with DD2, only pregnancy I didn't bleed ended in a MMC at 12 weeks so there isn't neccessarily anything wrong. But do get to a EPU just to put your mind at rest, will be impossible to sleep otherwise

PipsWife · 10/09/2012 22:04

I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this too. I'm only about 6 weeks and bleeding. I've got an early scan at the EPU (early pregnancy unit) tomorrow.

Fingers crossed for us both.

Reassuring to hear the above story about bleeding and successful pregnancy/birth.

I'm holding on tight to that x

TheTermagantToaster · 10/09/2012 22:10

Panic, Grey, thanks for the hand holding. If its still sore in the morning I will definitely contact the EPU. Still got pain but I've been having lots of pain in my pelvic girdle anyway so it's hard to tell what's what.

Pips, fingers crossed for you too. Scary stuff :(.

It's horrible isn't it. I had a MC in June but this is different so I hoping all is ok.

Someone said something wise on here today - expect the worse but hope for the best. Not sure if it's the right saying but its giving me some hope.

X

Things seem to have quietened down overnight, thankfully.

Pips, hope your scan this morning was ok.

Glad things quietened down.

I'm currently waiting to go to theatre to have ectopic removed. Sad

I thought I may have been MCing but did not expect this. I am a bit numb at the mo.

panicnotanymore · 11/09/2012 13:50

Pips I'm so sorry, I hope you're doing ok

TTT My consultant told me at 12 weeks that if I was to MC after this it wouldn't be spots, it would be floods. I don't worry too much about spots now.

TheTermagantToaster · 11/09/2012 14:13

Oh god, Pips, I'm so sorry :(. What an awful shock for you. I hope you are being well looked after. Big hugs :( x

Pips so sorry to hear that. My heart goes out to you. So glad that it was spotted early though. Hope you are ok.
