high bp tablets and early pregnancy

Dear everyone,i am so so scared.
Just did a pregnancy test and it's positive,not planed but welcomed. what makes me scared is that i am on very high dose of bp tablets... What influence will make it on fetus??
I didn't take it today,no chance i would risk it further but i just don't know how i found myself in this madness.
I am so confussed!!! DH is gone out on the bike ride with my two DD's and honestly i don't know what to think. Soooo scared

What medication are u taking. I suffer with high blood pressure and take methylodopa which are considered safe. There are some other blood pressure tablets that are ok to take during pregnancy too. I'd make an appointment to see your GP tomorrow to check it out and put your mind at ease. it's still early days and your tablets can be changed if needed. Oh and congratulations!
