I think I read somewhere that eating a banana a day could help with increasing potassium and make this better (but haven't tried myself). I had this terribly in last pregnancy and not looking forward to it again- you have my sympathies!

Banana is for leg cramps. I know tonic water can help. Not sure if tonic is ok when you are pregnant though.

I find stretching and tensing the legs helps. (Not pregnant, but have restless leg syndrome).

I know how awful it is, I didn't get to sleep until 3am last night because of restless bloody legs! (Then DS woke up at 7am, joy).

Usually I find massaging helps. Last night I was that pissed off with them that I tried to mentally deaden my legs. Just tensed them up, then concentrated on relaxing every muscle. Then basically imagined I had no feeling in my legs. Is that the uncontrollable feeling that I must move them? No, it can't be, I have no legs.

I am aware how awful that sounds, and am very grateful that I do have legs, but it did seem to work.

Thanks everyone. DH has just very uncharacteristically given me a foot massage and that combined with running up and down the stairs to poorly DS (chickenpox) seems to have eased it for now. Will try all remedy ideas when it undoubtedly returns! Thank you! Grin

Magnesium helps relieve RLS as it relaxes the muscles. You can take it safely in pg as a New Era tissue salt, from Boots or health food shop.

Yep, got it too, seems to have come on over past couple of weeks (am 29 weeks). No solution to offer but can certainly empathise.
