Hi everyone. I'm new here and am currently a bit stressed (understatement!!!) I've had mc followed by healthy pregnancy (daughter now 3). This was followed by a missed miscarriage, several chemical pregnancies (about 8 in last 18 months) and now I've had BFP and have been using clear blue conception tests. All started off well and had 1-2 weeks followed by 2-3 weeks followed by 3+ weeks which would fit with my dates (it's very early still but this pregnancy like everyone's is a much wanted one). This morning however I did another test and it's come up as 2-3 weeks so did another just to check and it was 2-3 weeks as well. Given my history of mc/cp I know I test too much but that's how I am!! I'm obviously thinking the worst but just wondered if anyone else out there had similar and went to have w healthy pregnancy and baby. I know I need to see dr and get referred to early preg unit but don't think anything will be seen for another two weeks so guess I'm looking for some reassurance that it is possible to have a decrease in conception indicator info and still go on and have a baby. Sorry for such a long post!

I don't have much experience of this at all but I'm pretty sure that the clear blue digital ones shouldn't be used after a certain time as they'll give you a really dodgy reading. That might be whats happening. xx

What sparkle said ^^
these tests are not that accurate, and the conception indicator is just a best guess really as hormone levels vary so much from person to person.

I haven't quite been in your position as I've only had couple of losses but that was hard enough so I can't imagine how worried you must be, but try and step away from the tests - they are only stressing you out more. Get yourself referred to EPU so you are in the system, though they won't scan before 6 weeks. If you must test then maybe stick with normal ones?

Thanks sparkle and Kirrin. Think getting referred is best option. Have dr appt tues when will be 5+6 all being well still. It's funny as did normal test too and that was dark line so if hadn't done clear blue wdnt be stressing!! Hindsight, a wonderful think!,

aww hun, never had a c/p but had 2 m/c prev so i understand what you mean with testing millions and worrying somethings going to go wrong, its awfull waiting for that appointment, i got referred to epu at 8 weeks for the scan because i was stressing myself out with worry luckily all ok this time firgers crossed it will be the same for you Smile

hi katyshake so sorry for you loses and i completely understand about the constant testing, i have had 2 previous mmc so when i found out i was pregnant this time i did exactly the same. Although now looking back gave me more unnecessary stress. I used the clearblue exactly like you i had the 1-2, 2-3, 3+ the week later i had 2-3 and feared the worse. After a few scans with epu because of my history, everything turned out ok. I am currently 25 weeks pregnant with a little wriggler. I just wanted to add my experience and hope this helps give you some hope and please step back from the tests. I would definitely ask to be referred to the epu or ring them yourself and see if you can refer yourself due to history. If only for your own peace of mind

Thanks terilou.
Surprise thanks for posting. While it's awful for anyone its reassuring to know that it could all go ok. I need to take a step back from testing for sure. What will be will be. Will go drs as planned and see what happens next. X
