stopping pill in middle of pack

if youre on the pill and decided that you want to start TTC is it best to finish the pack your on or does it not matter?

It doesn't matter, the pills have the same dose in them no matter what stage of the pack you are in, and your body doesn't ovuate on the pill anyway - the bleed isn't a proper period, so your body is not in any kind of rhythm. If you want to start trying, stop whenever you like

I believe the only risk from stopping half way is a risk of pregnancy but obviously that wouldn't be a problem in this case Grin

Doctors will often advise that you wait for a natural period (i.e. not just the bleed you get after you stop the pill, but the proper period that comes after that) before TTCing. However I think that is mainly just because it helps them calculate how pregnant you are Smile so I wouldn't necessarily bother waiting.
