I'm 29 weeks and getting plenty of movement. All good but have just been laying in bed thinking about it and realised I never seem to get any movements where baby's legs are.

I know baby is head down and laying on my right. Get most movement low down where the hand/arms are. Baby sticks it's bum out quite a bit! Occasionally get what I think is an elbow poking out at the front. But absolutely nothing on the left (and baby has been in this position for at least a few weeks now).

I'm being silly right? xx

Could be where the placenta is and it's cushioning the blows? Smile

I don't know. At 20 week scan they said placenta was at the back. Don't know if it could've moved at all?

Am annoyed with myself cos I only saw the midwife on Wednesday but it just hadn't crossed my mind at the time. Not due to see her for a couple of weeks now. Could go to a drop in ante natal clinic on Monday but just know I'm not going to be able to stop worrying til then. Don't have a phone number for community midwives either - have only been given hospital numbers xx

Hi, I had this with my daughter ....... Didn't occur to me until after I'd had her! But the reason was she was head down with her legs tucked up crossed under her bum, she continued to sleep like this for several weeks when she was lying on my chest after she was born, she looked like a little frog! Lol xx

The baby could be kicking inwards towards your back which would make the kicks hard to feel. I very rarely get kicks from the top baby (twins), more like wiggles and bum pushy outey things. I wouldn't worry about it but do mention it next time you see the midwife.

I have this! My placenta is anterior, but it did bug me a bit.

I happened to have a scan this week and get legs were moving around fine (I'm assuming that's what you're worried about), just can't always feel it. I do occasionally get a foot in the ribs now, so maybe you'll feel more as baby moves up (I'm 33 weeks).

Thanks everyone. Having thought about it calmly I think you're right in that the baby is just kicking in a way I can't really feel. Sure everything is fine and I'm worrying over nothing xx
