Month 2 of TTC. Used ovulation sticks from Day +8 and they have been +ve for 4 days (I am not Day 11). So did a pregnancy test as suggested on another thread and it's positive!!
Would it really be possible for me to be pregnant as I had a 3 day period which (sorry for TMI) was reasonably heavy. I started what I thought was my period on 26 Aug. and my positive Ovulation test (in month 1 of TTC) was 18 days prior to this.
If I am pregnant - could there be a problem due to the bleeding?
I'm in shock.....

If you've got a positive test you are pregnant.

I'm wondering if I had a chemical pregnancy and my levels are still up. I don't think my period was light enough to be breakthrough/implantation bleeding.
I have spoken to MW and have a scan booked for next week when in theory I would be 7 weeks. I am not holding out much hope though....

If it was a chem pregnancy you wouldn't still have a positive test. I miscarried at 4.5 weeks in may and test was negative by the time I finished bleeding 5days later. You're pregnant! Congratulations! Hope the scan gives you a lovely little heart beat to look at.

Really?? I feel like I can't get my hopes up.
I had a 3 day period, day 1 & 3 were light, but day 2 I had a couple of clots (sorry for TMI)
Also apologies for thread title, I wrote it last night when I was all a dither!
Would I still be positive if I'd had a partial miscarriage (read this when I did a google search..)

Sorry about your miscarriage too, I hope you're ok.

I know it's dreadful having to wait but I'm afraid the only way you'll get reassurance is from the scan. You can absolutely bleed in early pregnancy and have a healthy pregnancy though.
I know how hard and stressful the waiting is. I'm now 9+4 with dc2 and wishing away the time before my scan (thanks for the concern btw - I was pretty devastated at the time but glad it happened early).
Step away from google, take some folic acid and try to keep busy til your scan!

Wise words, I will try!
Hope your scan goes well x

I had implantation bleeding and was devastated as I thought it was period. It was really heavy for 3 days.

DD is now asleep upstairs!!

Fingers crossed!

It's not uncommon at all to have breakthrough bleed/ implantation I had it thought it was af then got +I've opk at cd14 that's when I start them that persisted and gp told me to test, I had bleed 2/3 days but was implantation and dd was fine, my friend bleed for 4 days she's just had her 12 wk scan, I have had 2 mc since and if it was that the bleeding wouldn't stop and you would get a negative test eventually, if you want to put your mind at ease test again and if it's darker you know it's ok, honistly that first bleed is very common. I was thankful I didn't know I was pg til after it as I might have worried but wouldn't give it a second thought now, especially after 2 weeks later with no more, most pg tests after mc are neg by 2 weeks later aswell and cp neg by the time you begin or before you stop bleeding as so early on, hope that puts your mind at rest, now stay of google

I'm a doctor in obstetrics & also 14 weeks pregnant. Bleeding in early pregnancy is common & I usually advise people that's it's not normally heavy or with clots and that's more likely to be a miscarriage/failing pregnancy. However, I had 3 heavy bleeds (1 through my clothes) before 8 weeks, no cause was found & my scans have all been fine. I know it's seems a ridiculous thing to say but try to keep an open mind & just see what the scan shows.
