I can't believe it, i am pregnant!

Literally just took an early pg test - can these ever be wrong? I was due my period yesterday.

I so cannot believe it this is no. 2 and we have been waiting for well over a year after depo messed up my system.

Can i trust this test? or can they sometimes be wrong?

Oh i'm so excited but daren't tell anyone in rl yet!

wools · 16/03/2006 14:38

Congratulations. I understand they can sometimes be wrong in not detecting a pregnancy (usually because there's not enough hormone present) but impossible to get a false positive.
Fabulous news.

Maddison · 16/03/2006 14:44

Do i have to go to docs? OR can i just tell them over phone so they get the ball rolling for scans etc

OP posts:
wools · 16/03/2006 14:56

Think you've actually got to make an appointment to see a doctor and they will give you a maternity free exemption form plus advice on what to eat/not to eat etc. They'll ask you what hospital you'd like to be booked into. Having said this, you may be able to contact your hospital directly which may be a bit quicker.

Hattie05 · 16/03/2006 14:58

thanks wools! may go ring them straight away Grin.

It's such early days, i must try and calm down a bit but can't help feeling so excited!

Nbg · 16/03/2006 15:22

Listen

stop running around screaming!

Come back and tell us your due date! Grin

Hattie05 · 16/03/2006 15:59

LOL sorry Nbg, i was making half hearted attempts at deciding what to do for dinner downstairs!

Well on that calculator, it says i'm 5 weeks - due 22 November.

First day of last period was 15 February which is only 4 weeks away, so how can i be 5 weeks?

OP posts:
Hattie05 · 16/03/2006 16:22

Btw NBG - it was you with the Brabantia bin wasn't it?

Did you get anything from them?

They sent me a pedal, it was hard work to fit, but i've done it and it's working now.

Oh what a life - worrying about babies and bins Wink

Grin

This confused me too.
You will be 4 weeks and so many days so in effect your are in your 5th week of pregnancy IYSWIM.

So you are 4 weeks+1. Next wednesday you'll be 5 weeks.

Nbg · 16/03/2006 16:31

No nothing. I sent them a sarcy email, they sent a snotty one back asking me to send them my bin for investigation so I told them to stick it and that they had inconsistent customer service.

littlemermaid · 16/03/2006 16:55
