35 weeks and exhausted

I am still at work for another two weeks and still decorating the house. We also have a lodger (moving out soon hopefully) so we sleep on the sofa (whilst we decorate the house as our room stinks of pain). I am shattered!
Anyone else?

Me! 35+6 and I was up for the toilet every hour and a half last night, I'm shattered. Luckily tomorrow is my last day at work - I was supposed to work to 38w but I've been so shattered I brought it forward a few months ago!

shinyblackgrape · 06/09/2012 18:56

Omg - you're doing so well. I'm 29 weeks today and beyond exhausted. I'm up goi g to the loo and I'm normally a tummy sleeper so sleeping on my side keeps giving me a dead arm. The most I've slept for in one stretch is about 2 hours since 15 weeks.

I'm going on may leave at 35 weeks and I'm literally counting down the days.

yes sleeping is not great, I hurt on my sides after a while and on my back. I get dead arms and cramps, for which I need to jump out of bed and run and stretch (really relaxing!). I feel like I want to wee all the time, but when I go, it is often disappointing (sorry tmi). I just want to sit down, watch bad tv and eat cakes.

Hi, I'm 34.3 and finish work next week, I am shattered! I'm uncomfortable (feel fit to burst!) and am being kept awake by the dreaded leg cramps at night too Confused I just want some lazy days to try and recoup but it's not that easy when you already have a 2yr old! Grin

GrassIsntGreener · 06/09/2012 19:26

Yup, almost 36 weeks here with a breech. No sleep forever, leg cramps, arm tingles, heartburn, sciatica, back ache...was all so much easier the first time around but hard now with a 4 year old!

We haven't long though, then we'll all be missing our lovely bumps.

BoysBoysBoysAndMe · 06/09/2012 19:27

I'm 32 weeks and wish I was at work some days!

I started mat leave early (I worked pt), but I'm a ft sahm now with a 5 year old at school and a 14 month old to look after all day. With all the mummy and wife duties I'm tired, but expecting to be more tired shortly.

I was in bed for half seven one day last week!

BlueMoon74 · 06/09/2012 19:31

You're doing fantastically well! I'm shattered too..but only 30 + 5. TBH I'm supposed to be working until week 38 (!) and now think that is highly unlikely.

My ankles are swollen, bump keeps going rock hard (braxton hicks?!) which stops me in my tracks, can't sleep due to bump and also getting up to wee all bloody night...oh and got SPD so walking/sitting/basically anything is painful. I want to cry but don't have the energy! I also keep dropping everything (have become very clumsy) but can't bend down to pick anything up ha!

GrassIsntGreener · 06/09/2012 19:38

I have to admit, when I worked full time through my last pregnancy I found it so much easier than being at home with a child and doing the household stuff!

iwishiwasalittlebitfitter · 06/09/2012 19:40

ooooh yes, picking stuff up or putting shoes on is soooooo hard now.

Yes-and I'm putting off painting my toe nails, I have to do it with them turned on the side Sad

I'm not even that big either, just so uncomfortable

Spice17 · 06/09/2012 21:16

I went on mat leave last Fri at 35 weeks, did some frenzied' nesting' Mon, Tues and Weds and today I mostly fell asleep whilst watching TV on demand!

Also, getting between 20 mins to an hour between wees at night and my bump has got so much bigger in 4 days, to the point that I REALLY struggle to turn over and then get comfortable in bed.

Oh well it's all preparation for a months time and I probably shouldn't say this but glad we're pretty much all feeling the same! :)

Sending sympathy. 36 weeks here, have just moved house 2 weeks ago. Last 2 nights I have started that horrible 'waking up for no reason' thing that people talk about - apparently nature getting you ready for being woken by baby. Well fuck off nature and let me sleep before baby arrives, won't you? Hmm

Being on maternity leave will help - I finished officially last week but actually was working until yesterday. Today was first chill out day.

Hello all

Currently lying metaphorically tossing and turning, if not physically because too bloody difficult!

Fed up with broken sleep from getting up to wee all night.

Currently 35 weeks, was convinced I would be early but just realizing I could have another 7 weeks of this...

1 more week at work which I can't wait to be over, but then have family coming from overseas to stay so really not going to be a relaxing time before 38 weeks! Hmm

exiledmancityfan · 07/09/2012 08:27

37+2 and totally shattered. I am on Mat leave with DS2 and DS1 (8) is at school all day. I have found myself busier than ever, plus moved 300 miles at 33 weeks from Kent to Yorkshire so don't really know anyone to go out and have coffee healthy smoothies with so stuck at home all day.
