I'm 38 wks, due for c sect next week weds. I've just stupidly googled frank breech babies and seen some really scary pics of babies being born who are unable to straighten their legs. I've read some horrible things too. I won't be able to sleep tonight now!!

Has anyone given birth to a frank breech baby who can relate their story? I'm terrified my baby's legs will be up around the head...and this will cause long term damage...

My DS was Frank breech. He is 4 weeks old and fine :) his legs did look really bendy and he could flip them in all positions . I was more worried about his ankles which looked like they were turned inwards. I asked about them but was told that is normal for a breech. Anyway he is fine :) the bendiness soon goes. As with all breech babies he has to have a hip scan at 6 weeks, but already at 4 weeks his legs are looking fine :) xx

Dd was a frank breech and was also fine! She came out looking like she was folded in half (feet by head) but her legs came down the same day into a froggy-style position. Within a few days she was the same as every other baby. She had clicky hips so we came back at 6 weeks but she was fine by then. Because her feet had been by her head in utero, her head had minor dents at her temples (only visible if you knew about it). It all straightened itself out by about 6 months though (she was bald till 2- I bet you wouldn't notice if your baby had hair).

It'll be fine!- good luck!
