Anyone else still feel rough even after morning sickness has gone away?

So I don't feel "morning sickness" sick any more - hooray! But I still feel awful, bloated, gassy, constipated (or if not, then stomach cramps and the runs). Don't fancy any food, my appetite's completely gone (REALLY unlike me!), and nothing I eat agrees with me anyway.

God, what a moan! Just wondered if anyone else felt the same and/ or if there is some remedy I can try. I was sooo smug in my last pregnancy, only mild morning sickness, then glowing (and eating like a horse) from 12 weeks on!

I still feel horrid on and off too, I'm 22 weeks now and occasionally still feel sick too - but mainly it is much improved.

My stomach isn't right still, I get pretty bad sort of turning-over contractiony-type pain if I have any sort of wind, or need the toilet, or eat too much fruit and veg for example.

I'm not sleeping much
I have heartburn on and off too

I'm still really tired and feel generally run down.
I was still feeling pretty horrid quite a lot up to about 20 weeks, really.

It's awful isn't it? I'm sure I had some better days/weeks than this with my other two.

Sorry - absolutely no help, was that?! Blush

I hope you are feeling well soon. How far along are you?

Thanks Ed! I feel much better knowing I'm not alone Grin

And that is exactly how I feel - weird rumblings and contractions! Must try and drink peppermint tea or something!

I'm 14 weeks - really glad the morning sickness has gone so I shouldn't really moan!

Yup, still feel pretty rough, appetite is pretty much gone, exhausted, still a bit nauseous. Am 26 weeks. I seem to have missed out on that golden period in the middle when people tend to feel great. The appetite thing is the worst - I really struggle to think of a single thing I want to eat (and take it from me, I had NO problems eating pre-pregnancy - quite the opposite!).

Hi,
Yes, I feel similar. I'm 18 weeks and, although the nausea dissipated at 15 weeks, I still can't eat normally - certain vegetables really turn my stomach.
OH complains that I'm being fussy!

I find chamomile and aniseed tea good, but not sure where to buy it in the UK. I buy it in Spain.
Or mint chewing gum.

I've not had heartburn (yet), but lots of burping - is that normal? This is my first.

As far as constipation goes, I'm much better when I've had lots of plain water, 2 litres say, and after a bit of exercise - a brisk walk is a good one.

yes, still feel distinctly under par. I am trying to remember that the MS bit was defo worse but hard when you still feel a bit nauseous plus really achey and fucking exhausted at the same time. Am 17 weeks with twins

I also keep feeling as though I cannot breathe. I felt like I was drowning, sitting up in the bath trying to rinse my hair the other day. I think my lungs are getting compressed.

I don't know if this baby is bigger for some reason but I am certainly giving it more room...I don't think I have any stomach muscles left Grin
