Anyone else had glucose in their urine on more than one occasion but NOT had GD?

I'm hoping for the best here and want to hear some positive stories.

I've had glucose in my urine for the last 2 midwife apts. the first time it was +2 and the second +3. I'm doing the glucose tolerance test tomorrow. So worried about the results!

I have a normal BMI and don't eat ridiculously unhealthily (quite healthy in fact but still have the odd treat).

Anyone else had similar but were fine at GTT?

Yes!

I learnt after the glucose tolerance test that having a flapjack just before midwife appointments was not a good idea.

All fine though. Lucozade which I had to drink for the test though, is horrible.

Good luck! Try not to worry, easier said I know, but it won't change anything.

Yes, I had it all the way through my first pregnancy - admittedly I have always had a sweet tooth, but MWs were constantly concerned about me having GD. I did the GTT but it turned out I didn't have GD. Try not to worry too much about it.

Thanks for your replies. I'm keeping my fingers crossed

I've got my fingers crossed too. Was 3+++ in urine at last two appointments so referred to have GTT, still waiting for date. I think - well, hope! - it had to do with what I ate beforehand.

Yes, I usually have glucose in my sample at every appointment - my appointments are usually within an hour or two of breakfast and even if I just have fruit and fibre or just toast with a scraping of jam I know there will be glucose in it!

I've done a glucose tolerance test quite a few weeks ago which I passed but have still had glucose since, my midwife suggested doing the sample before breakfast (since I see her quite early in the morning this makes sense for me).
