Hello

I have GD and the last few readings have shown high blood sugar levels although I haven't changed my diet. I've felt sick and headachey since last night. Heartburn is particularly bad too.

Should I call midwife? I've been booked in for c section next weds due to breech baby, maybe I should just wait?

I think you should call in, not knowing much about it, it sounds like you need to be checked over. These things can be signs of pre-eclampsia x

Feeling sick and headachey is also a symptom of high blood glucose generally (I am type 1 diabetic). I'd call your midwife, but I'd also be reducing your carb intake (not just sugars, but bread, pasta, potatoes, fruit juices etc) until your levels are back under control.

Thanks for the replies guys. Feeling a lot better today and blood back under control...sorry I panicked. Thanks for reassurance though xxx
