Not with number 3 but I am currently 37 wks pg with DS2 and DS1 is 8 and just started yr 4 at school. I was totally shocked but DS1 is now really excited about the birth of his baby brother. You will be fine.

Going through it now. Currently 34 weeks with DC no 3. Other two are 8 and 4.
Still not quite sure how I feel about having a baby again and having occasional panics!

Yes! The absolute shock when we got that bfp! Only did a test to rule pregnancy out. It took about a week to get over initial shock, then a little longer to stop worrying (had just started a new job, lots of other things going on) but now at 28 weeks really happy & excited. My 2 are 5 and 2, 5 yr old is very excited & 2 yr old likes to cuddle bump & kiss it goodnight :)

I am 12+6 with DC3 and this one was 100% planned but in April (this year) I found out I was expecting and was so upset as it wasnt planned at all. I only tested as was so tired and someone at work joked if I was pregnant which got my little brain doing overtime. I done a test and got my BFP - I went home that night and threw it at DH and told him to deal with that as I wasnt and went to bed and cried for an hour!
My DS1 is 9 and DS2 is 1 and I have quite a medical history resulted in one baby at 28 weeks and one at 33.
A couple of days later the news sunk in and I got my head round around it and we told DS1 and were very excited. About a week later I started to bleed and lost the baby and it was only at that point I realised how much I wanted my liitle bean and that sometimes things are not planned but they happen for a reason.

As soon as I was able we started to try again and in the second month fell pregnant and couldnt be happier.
My only advice is to let it sink in and get your head round it and by the time you see your little bean your heart will melt and you will forget you every felt any different x x

In the same boat, have 2 DDs aged 9 and 6 and discovered that I am expecting DC3. I'm 41, DH is 52, have given away all the baby stuff, moved on to the next phase so we are still in the process of getting our heads round it to be honest. I currently seem to go through every emotion within every 24hr period, veering from excitement to sheer panic.

I worry about our ages, the age gap between our children, the higher risk of something being wrong with the baby, finances, holidays (!), telling people (especially our parents!) and even the fact that there will no longer be a sibling link at the lovely primary school that my children currently attend. I'm a bit of a mess at the moment, but it's early days for us so I'm hoping my emotions will settle down soon so we can enjoy what will (definitely) be our last baby.

The people on here have been really supportive and kind during a time when I didn't feel able to talk to people in RL (other than DH), so hope you find it helpful too. Congratulations!

That's all really helpful. thank you. I am feeling more and more positive as people i tell react well - just suddenly get a whoosh of panic. I had a horrible pregnancy last time so i am not looking forward to feeling rough.
Woollywomble - i think we are having the same worries!
thanks everyone

Mine are 8 and 6 and I am 8 weeks pregnant. Not a total shock as I had come off the pill but I still wonder if I've done the right thing...too late now!

Good luck!

Yes been there OP Smile

DDs are 7 and 3. DS is now 4 mths and was a total shock - but once we got our head round it we were fine Grin
