Painful kicks - any tips?

I really don't want to complain because it is lovely to be able to feel the little monster wriggling around so much but for the last 24 hours it has been painful!

I took ages to get to sleep last night because bump was going mental, then was awake again at 2am for the same reason. There have been quiet times today but at times I am finding it difficult to do certain things because the baby takes a disliking and starts kicking really hard.

Does anyone have any tips for easing the discomfort? Or just some sympathy? I found a bath to be quite soothing the other evening but not practical during the day when I have a 21mo to entertain!

I'm having the same thing at the moment. I'm 39 weeks and baby clearly does not have enough room and feels like he is trying to escape our my sides!

Sorry, no tips really. I just try to sit up really straight or put my arms up a bit...feels like it might give him more room. Might just be psychological!

I would imagine its just something we have to put up with. At least we know we have strong babies! Grin
