Tiffany Rose sizing

I'm looking to buy a Tiffany Rose dress for a couple of weddings that I have coming up in September and October. I'll be 26 weeks at the first wedding and 30 weeks for the second so hoping to wear the same dress as I can't afford to buy lots!
I've seen some lovely Tiffany Rose dresses on ebay but I'm not sure what size I need to get as they sell inbetween sizes and don't give measurements online, just quote select your "pre-pregnancy size" Confused Before I got pregnant I was a 12ish so I'm worried the 10-12 might be too small but then again the 12-14 may be too big!!

Has anyone ever bought a Tiffany Rose dress before - if so did you find that the sizes fitted small or big??

TIA Smile

I think it depends which dress- the ones with stretchy material have a lot more give in them. I've got one that is made of silk and even though I'm a 12-14 regular size, the 12-14 was too tight on my D cup bust so I had to get the 14-16. Pretty sure the 12-14 would have fit if it hadn't been silk.
Their customer service is great though- mine arrived the day after I ordered it. I emailed to say it didn't fit and sent it back to them that day. Two days later, the bigger one arrived- so just get one of them and if it doesn't fit, they'll get it sorted really quickly.

Thanks londonmrss, good to know.
As I'm looking to buy from ebay rather than direct from Tiffany Rose I can't return if sizing isn't right! Although could re-sell I suppose.

I am normally a 10-12, but I had to return a 10-12 Grace dress and get a 8-10, perfect fit. It could depend on the style though - the Grace dress is fitted, but stretchy.

I got married in one! I was about 25 weeks I think (last pg) and had a definite bump and big boobs. I had to send the first one back as too small round the boobs. I got the Athena dress in a 10 - 12 (was a pre preg size 10) and it was too big around the hips.

In the end I think got 12-14 in a shorter style because of my boobs and back size which was about 34 E / 36DD by then (from memory)

Even though you're buying off ebay I'd call the sales department to check - they were really helpful with me and could tell from my breast size which styles would fit etc.

I'd sell you mine but it's a wedding dress so not really appropriate!!

I've just tried on my wedding dress much to DH's amusement.

It's a size 2 - I'm currently 28 preggers and wearing a 36D. I needed help doing it up and squeezed my boobs in. I didn't have much room around the boobs Grin but fine everywhere else and have a big bump for 28weeks (have gained nearly 2 stone already Shock) - it looked nice and didn't look too small. No overspill back fat though I'd have worn a cardi or jacket as arms are huge...

HTH.

I was a 12 pre-pregnancy and got married at 26 weeks. I'd ordered the 12-14 and it was a bit big. A local dressmaker altered it, picked it up a few days before wedding - and it was a bit small! Was v stressful, but it was fine in the end, just couldn't wear a bra Grin.

Silk I was so stressed about the dress and the weight gain and the boobs and bump being completely uncontrollable. And then couldn't even drink!

sorry OP - total hijack.

SilkInsideAChestnutShell · 02/09/2012 17:26

I vividly remember that stress! Couldn't even crash diet to make it fit in true bridal style. Serves me right for being a wanton hussy and upduffed at the wedding Grin.

Same here! Grin My post proposal "hurrah" meant I didn't get to wear to the chic Jackie O style dress I had in mind....! I tried to make up for it by wearing so much make up but would up looking like a pregnant transvestite.

*wound up

SilkInsideAChestnutShell · 02/09/2012 18:48

Thing is, at least if we did look crap, people would blame it on the hormones Grin.
Am pg again now - will go and try it on! One day I'm going to get it altered so it's a fab non-mat dress!
Sorry for hijack, OP.

Ah thanks for all the insight ladies - very much appreciated, you've really helped. I think from your experiences leobear, giraffe and silk that I'll go for a 10-12 and hope for the best. My boobs were small before and still very small so no fear for my top half fitting in I doubt!!
I love that you guys are trying on the wedding dresses again Grin! Mine hasn't come out of the box for the last 4 years, and I definitely don't think I'll ever fit into it again, bump or no bump Wink
