34 week midwife appointment

I've just realised my 34 week appointment has been booked in for 35 weeks. I know it's only a week difference but it seems like a lot at this stage. I've only had 3 appointments so far ( booking in and 2 check ups lasting no more than 5 mins) they couldn't find my blood results at 28 week one so said they'd check at 34 wk! I was considering a home birth (in my notes from booking in appointment) but have not seen same midwife twice and each has said it'll be discussed at next appointment, will 35 wks be too late for this?
Just wondering what others would do, wait till 35 wks or phone before? Thanks.

I'd wait for 35 weeks. I had one at 35 weeks and that's when we discussed labour

You can always ring up the Supervisor of Midwifery/Supervisor of Community MWs and state you want a HB and expect support from your local MW team. That way you don't get put off or told it's too late or there's not enough time at the 34/35 week appt to discuss details!

What was your booking iron level? If I had any suspicion at all that it was low I'd book in just for that (routine test at 28wks) in case they start ummming and ahhing about supporting you in birthing at home with no time left to increase your hb. How many weeks are you now?
