Hello
Please can I ask for some experience and advice? I'm 17 weeks pregnant and have had all blood tests offered so far, i was told no news was good news and the hospital would only be in touch if there was a problem. Well the hospital have been in touch and booked me an appointment for the 18th September saying it will take 1-2 hours. I know this might be serious but i wondered if this might be anything less worrying? We're freaking out here and feels like a long time to wait to get the news, any thoughts very welcome....

I'm not sure; the only thing I can think of that would take 1-2 hours is a glucose tolerance test, and for that they would have to tell you as you usually need to fast beforehand.

It's odd that they haven't at least told you what you're coming in to have done; I'm sure you could phone and ask.

Can you phone them back and ask what it's regarding?
I'd hate to be left in the dark too!

I would ring the hospital on Monday. It is probably nothing too serious and not worth 3 weeks of angst for.

i was recalled at seventeen weeks after nuchal test. bloods were saying something different to scan measurements. we spent a restless week thinking baby must have all sorts as none ever has 12 week scan repeated! none seemed to know why at the hospital either so we worried sick! we saw a consultant at seventeen weeks who quashed any worries straight away. mine was through horrendous sickness which had affected the blood result some problem was placenta related. i know how frightening it is to be called back, i hope everything goes ok x
