Anyone tried these courses ... I am abroad and it is difficult for me to get to classes.

Or are the classes really helpful anyway? Perhaps I don't need to worry if I don't have them? (I am doing a hypnobirthing course)

In all honesty, the most valuable thing I got from the antenatal classes was friendships with other mums-to-be at the same stage of pregnancy as I was; the other information I could have found for free online. I certainly don't see the point in paying for classes online when (between mumsnet and babycentre) there wasn't any questions I couldn't find the answers to :)

Thanks, I don't really have a shortage of mum friends anyway and my very close friend who did antenatal classes out here said she did not find them that useful anyway and given my work in post natal care she said that I prob more well informed than her in the first place anyway! For me it is more about being forarmed with some info as they are pretty fixed on how things should be done here and I want to see if I can encourage a bit of flexibility in my case ... have been told likely I will be on my back with an epidural .... even if I dont want to be!
