Transverse baby at 36 weeks

I had my scan yesterday and they found that the baby was lying transverse. I have actually thought a lot for months that the baby was lying across,just from where the 2 lumps were but every midwife appointment they have said I am wrong and the baby was head down. Maybe the baby has been moving loads, I don't know, but I am hoping for a homebirth so I was to have confidence in their diagnosis of where the baby is.

Anyway, I have read spinning babies so I will get on my hands and knees and try the other things on there. My question is if anyone else has had this and the baby get into position ok a week or so later?

Can midwives (different midwives) consistently get it wrong, or has the baby been spinning around inside?

your baby mite not go head down until the day of labour, also if you go into labour and the baby is not in the right position the midwifes will try to turn him for you. with my first he was breach at every appointment i had to be induced at 41+6 and on the day i went in he was head down. and yes midwifes can get it wrong i found this out a few week back i went for midwife appointment and she said he was head down then had a 3d scan which showed he was breach unless he is a very quick mover i would say she was wrong as it was only half an hour between both appointments

I have done some research and seen the baby can move right up until the point you go into labour. I have to see the consultant anyway, so will discuss it with him and understand the process. I've been doing all the spinningbabies stuff - though now slightly worried that if the baby is moving around, some of the exercises if done when he/she is head down, could end up turning him/her breech!

Ah well, what will be will be
